ABB will invest about $ 20 million in the construction of the SEZ plant for the production of cabinets for low-voltage switchgear and components.

According to Anatoly Nikolayevich Popov , the president of ABB in Russia, construction of the plant will set up this spring, and the first products - shells for low-voltage devices -are scheduled for 2015.

According to ABB experts , there is a great demand for high -quality low-voltage devices on the Russian market, and more than 60 % of electrical installations in Russia require replacement.

Lipetsk production will meet the strict requirements of international concern for the safety, efficacy and quality control of products.

The project will be the sixth production in Russia and the first plant built "from scratch" .
